Who are we?
Our Story
Originally coming from the Alps, we crossed the river Rhône in 1999 as we discovered the domain of Potelières that presented many challenges and sun shining for 300 days a year:
An authentic historical building to restore and bring back to life,
A landscaped 18th century park to rejuvenate,
A vast agricultural property where we could plant olive trees in order to produce olive oil.
First as a B&B, then hotel and gastronomic restaurant, we have chosen to offer our customers the privilege of exclusivity: “la vie de chateau!”
Organic Agriculture and biodiversity
The property extends on 130 ha, the major part of which is cultivated. The river Cèze marks the boundary limit on a 1.5 km pebble shore that beavers enjoy peacefully.
To replace an old poplar plantation near the river, we have planted many different wood trees, an “arboretum”, and bare grounds close to the castle been cultivated and planted with orchards of olive trees (to press our own oil). Also, 120 different fruit trees including peaches, apricots, cherries, figs, plums, apples, etc.
All grounds are cultivated according to organic rules. |
